Charitable Giving
Supporting the communities we serve
Shaner’s commitment to the community extends to several charitable organizations, with special focus on those that improve the lives of Kansas City women and children. The firm directs much of its philanthropic support to TLC for Children and Families, a local organization that provides shelter, social services, and crisis intervention to children and youth who are facing abuse, neglect or family disruption. Shaner also provides support for the victims of domestic violence at the Rose Brooks Center.
In addition to its efforts to help protect and support local women and children, Shaner funds national medical research through its ongoing contributions to the ALS Association and The March of Dimes.
