Laird Goldsborough MAI MRE
Laird Goldsborough is President of Shaner Appraisals, and he has been with the firm since 1990. He specializes in the valuation of conservation easements, significant commercial properties and real estate litigation support. He has qualified as an expert witness in several states and is a licensed real estate agent in Kansas.
Goldsborough holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, and he is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri. Goldsborough is Past President of the Kansas City chapter of the Appraisal Institute, a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and a graduate of Leadership Overland Park. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in real estate and construction management from the University of Denver.

Bernie Shaner MAI SRA
Bernie Shaner founded Shaner Appraisals in 1978 and serves today as the firm’s Director. Shaner has more than 35 years of real estate appraisal experience, with special emphasis on multi-family residential projects and eminent domain proceedings. He has qualified as an expert witness in several states and is an approved instructor for the Appraisal Institute and the Appraisal Foundation.
Shaner is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa, and he is Past President of the Kansas City chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Shaner achieved the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.

Dean Dixon
Dean Dixon is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2005.
Dixon is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. He is also a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri.
Dixon earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and psychology from Baker University and a Master’s Degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Kansas.

T.J. Hawks
T.J. Hawks is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2004.
Hawks is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. Currently, Hawks serves as a board member of the Kansas City chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He also is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri, and he is a member of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders.
Hawks earned a bachelor’s degree in general business from Southwest Missouri State University.

Kristen Hilgers
Kristen Hilgers is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraiserals since 1991.
Hilgers is a Licensed Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri. She specializes in the valuation of small multi-family properties and single-family residences.
Hilgers earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Park University.

Mike Hohmann
Mike Hohmann is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2003.
Hohmann is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. He also is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri.
Prior to joining Shaner Appraisals, Hohmann worked at NAI Hiffman, a full-service commercial real estate firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Hohmann earned a bachelor’s degree in general business from West Liberty State College in West Virginia.

Daniel Kann
Daniel Kann is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2007.
Kann is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI and CCIM designations. Prior to joining Shaner, Kann was a real estate broker with Iowa Realty Commercial in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kann earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and real estate finance from the University of Northern Iowa.

Holly Mills
Holly Mills is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2010.
Mills is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. She also is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Prior to joining Shaner, Mills performed appraisal work for Bliss Associates in Kansas City, Missouri and Cushman & Wakefield in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska.
Mills earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Education with graduate certification in Spanish from the University of Kansas.

Thomas Muller
Thomas Muller is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2009.
Muller is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. He has performed commercial appraisal work throughout the United States, and he has additional real estate and appraisal experience in corporate, residential, ad valorem and lending environments.
Muller earned an undergraduate degree in history/political science from Bethany College.

Jason Roos is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2007.
Roos is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. He also is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri.
Roos earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of North Dakota.

Derek Shaner is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2003.
Shaner is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. He also is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Kansas and Missouri, and was previously a real estate sales agent with Coldwell Banker Advantage.
Shaner earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Kansas.

Amanda G. Busch
Amanda Busch is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2010.
Busch is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. Amanda has four years of experience in the appraisal of commercial real estate and specializes in multi-family properties as well as single tenant net-leased properties.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Tampa.

Kyle Henning is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2010.
Henning is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI and CCIM designations. Prior to joining Shaner, Henning was an investment real estate broker with Colliers Turley Martin Tucker in Kansas City, Missouri.
Henning earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate from Wichita State University.

Chris Hoffman
Chris Hoffman is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2009.
Hoffman is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. Prior to joining Shaner, he performed commercial appraisal work with Hoffman Appraisals in Missouri and Kansas. He is a Captain in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Hoffman earned a bachelor's degree in parks, recreation, and tourism from the University of Missouri.

Kathy Lambrecht
Kathy Lambrecht is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2007.
Lambrecht has more than 12 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Shaner, she was a real estate agent with several large commercial real estate brokerage firms in Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
Lambrecht earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Kansas.

Will Rigdon is a Real Estate Analyst who has been with Shaner Appraisals since 2006.
Rigdon is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a candidate for the MAI designation. Prior to joining Shaner Appraisals, Rigdon was employed with the Burns & McDonnell engineering firm based in Chicago, Ilinois.He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kansas State University.
